Decisions, Decisions… More of What to Keep When You Remodel the Bath!

Imahe
Bathroom remodeling is filled with difficult decisions, and sometimes the first ones are the hardest… like what to let go and what to keep! We shared some ideas with you recently , and now we're back with part two, via The Recorder Online , to help you decide what to keep when you remodel your bath! Tired of the tub? We relayed the advice about what to do with your jetted tub – namely, get rid of it. But that doesn't mean just ban the bath! Think twice, or even three times, before you consign a cast iron, claw foot bathtub to the dump. This type of vintage fixture is likely to be harder wearing than any modern bath and never goes out of style. The outside of a clawfoot tub can often be painted to match your other decor. And the inside, if it has seen better days, may be a candidate for reglazing. Don't get sunk at the sink! Even if your sink is functional, it can be… well… less than ideal. Who else hates it when the bathroom counter is a-slosh with water? After every. Singl

My readers and podcast listeners regularly reach out to me to say that they're afraid to invest in rental properties because they don't want to put their life savings at risk on a deal. A Sneek Peek and An Exciting Announcement

Imahe
This is the random thought that went through my head when I typed that title: I share a lot of posts with exciting announcements. I can't decide it's because there's a lot going on around here? Or. I just think everything is exciting. Like the new app I found that makes thunderstorm noises. Or that the cap of the deodorant comes off if you just roll it up. Or that I found the perfect purple nail polish that makes short nails look fancy. It's the little things that make my day extra happy. But this announcement?  It's a big one.  And I thought why just write the news down on the blog-when I could film it and tell all of you and you could hear the actual level of excitement in my voice. Are you ready? Here's a little excitement I filmed just for you. And then? I said this. (total aside:  I taped this on Instagram and the filter gave me glittered eyeshadow.  #soclose) And then? I got so excited and said this. Can you even believe it? MY OWN THISTLEWOOD PRODUCT LINE

Friday Flash: Dude…

"We are proud of the work we have done with Upstream to help them gain their footing and reach this next phase of their launch, and we are pleased that a new plan is being implemented that will propel them forward and help them become the tool we've always envisioned they would be for our members," said NAR CEO Bob Goldberg. "This project has been an amazing opportunity to drive innovation and conversation among our brokerage community and gain their input into building the tools they use every day in their business. As I've said since the beginning of my tenure as CEO, we are not in the business of inventing at NAR; we've supported Upstream to the extent that makes sense for both our strategic missions and now it is time for them to step out on their own." What's always made me mad about RPR isn't that it never should have existed in the first place. It's the arrogance that gets me. The quotes above, from this week's announcement that R

For busy families like mine and yours, things need to be convenient in order to get them done. One major reason we procrastinate the serious things in life, like setting up a will or getting life insurance, is because we are bracing for an inconvenient process.
